Azure Data Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Azure Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Tampa, FL. You will design and build scalable data pipelines and architectures on the Azure cloud platform, ensuring high performance and reliability.

Rate Range: $42/hour to $44/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Azure Data Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data services and frameworks.

• Build scalable data solutions leveraging Azure Databricks, PySpark, and Snowflake for batch and real-time data processing.

• Develop and maintain data models and schemas in relational and NoSQL databases such as Postgres and MongoDB.

• Write efficient, reusable code in Python and SQL to transform and load data across multiple systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.

• Monitor and improve data pipeline performance, ensuring reliability, scalability, and compliance with data governance standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in data engineering with strong expertise in Azure cloud services.

• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark, Snowflake, and building scalable data pipelines and architectures.

• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in relational and NoSQL databases (Postgres, MongoDB) and ETL/ELT processes.

Pay Details: $42.00 to $44.00 per hour
