Janitorial Technician - Day Shift

Job Summary:

As a Facility Technician at Flora-Bama, you'll play a vital role in keeping our iconic property looking its best. From deep cleaning to maintaining curb appeal, your work helps create the unforgettable atmosphere our guests and team members enjoy every day. Success in this role requires strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, excellent communication, and a willingness to take ownership while working independently and as part of a team.

• Accurately log hours worked across multiple Flora-Bama locations.
• Perform detailed cleaning throughout company facilities, including offices, conference rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, music stages, common areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Complete a variety of cleaning tasks, including:
  • Dusting and wiping surfaces
  • Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms
  • Emptying trash and recycling
  • Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
• Operate pressure and power washers (heated water/steam) daily to clean stages, common areas, bathrooms, picnic tables, fences, stairways, and other assigned areas according to daily cleaning schedules.
• Remove trash bags, cardboard, and other debris, transporting materials safely to designated dumpsters.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine care of cleaning equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
• Properly use, handle, and store cleaning chemicals while following all safety procedures.
• Report equipment repairs, maintenance concerns, and potential safety hazards to management.
• Help maintain building security by locking doors and gates before and after operating hours.
• Maintain the overall appearance of the property through landscaping assistance, groundskeeping, and general curb appeal efforts.
• Support additional facility maintenance and cleaning projects as assigned.

• Previous commercial or high-volume cleaning experience (schools, hospitals, entertainment venues, hotels, or similar environments) is preferred.
• Previous overnight work experience within the last year is preferred.
• Self-starter who takes pride in producing quality work with minimal supervision.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively while also working independently.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in warm or hot outdoor environments.
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to send and receive email.
• Reliable transportation between Flora-Bama properties.
• Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb ladders, kneel, crouch, and perform repetitive movements throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to safely operate pressure washing equipment and other facility maintenance tools.
• Ability to work overnight in both indoor and outdoor environments.
• Typical shifts begin at 5:00 AM and average 8 hours per shift.
