AM Food and Beverage Manager - Julene Restaurant

We are looking for an AM Food and Beverage Manager to join the opening team of Julene at The Sunny Hotel in Sunny Isles Beach.

The Sunny is a new oceanfront hotel in Sunny Isles Beach, marking the transformation of the historic Newport Beachside Hotel into a modern beachfront destination. The 340-room property blends thoughtful design with a strong food and beverage program, multiple dining concepts, and a series of lively social spaces designed for both guests and the local community.

Family-owned for three generations, the property builds on decades of hospitality on one of South Florida’s most storied beachfront sites. With a completely refreshed guest experience and an ambitious culinary program, The Sunny represents a new chapter for this longtime Sunny Isles Beach landmark.

Julene will serve as the hotel’s signature restaurant and a cornerstone of its food and beverage program. A refined yet approachable neighborhood restaurant, Julene focuses on familiar American cooking executed at a high level—celebrating dishes people crave, prepared with care and confidence. Designed to feel lively and welcoming, Julene is intended to become a true gathering place for Miami—equally loved by hotel guests and local regulars alike.

Job Description

Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, the AM Food and Beverage Manager is the strategic and operational leader of Julene. This role is responsible for overseeing all front-of-house operations, delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving financial performance, and upholding the restaurant’s service and brand standards.

The Food and Beverage Manager will lead and develop the service team, work closely with culinary leadership to ensure seamless dining room and kitchen operations, and foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, and genuine hospitality. Through strong leadership, attention to detail, and operational discipline, the Food and Beverage Manager will help establish Julene as a destination for both hotel guests and the local community.

What You’ll Do

The Food and Beverage Manager will help oversee the activities of the food and beverage departments. Ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards. Helps ensure high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits and insure outstanding customer service. Interviews, trains, supervises, coaches, schedules, and conducts performance reviews of the team.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree or minimum 3 years experience in food and beverage management.

· Strong business communication skills and associate relation skills

· Present a professional appearance with a confident attitude

· Excellent problem solving skills

· Experience with scheduling, payroll and labor management

· Experience with TOAST POS system

· Current Serve Safe Certification preferred

· TIPS or CARE CERTIFICATION

· CPR Certification preferred

· Available to work both AM and PM Shifts but primarily AM starting at 6 AM

· Read, write and speak English fluently.

· Ability to train employees in alcohol intervention, food handling, and sanitation.

· Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
