Assistant Property Manager

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager to join one of our long term client’s team at (1) of their properties in Kissimmee, FL (34758). The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in property management and at least 1 years’ experience in leasing – full cycle leasing is required – mixed market (market rate, section 8/42). This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion) or can go direct hire for the right candidate.

This role will be working with 396 mixed market units (market, section 8 and section 42).

Salary: $21-$22/hour DOQ. This role is a contract to hire role (90 days before conversion).

Schedule: Monday-Friday 830am – 530pm.

As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Community Manager with the daily operations of the property.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the day-to-day operations of property management, including tenant relations and property maintenance.
• Manage delinquencies, renewals, leases to meet company goals
• Coordinate maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of issues through effective facilities management.
• Maintain accurate records of tenant information, lease agreements, and property documents through diligent data entry.
• Support the management team with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, preparing reports, and managing correspondence.
• Foster positive relationships with tenants by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and maintenance schedules.
• Collaborate with leasing team to promote available units and assist in leasing efforts.
• Establish positive relationships within the community
• Be on-call as scheduled by management

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess a minimum of 2 years in Property Management experience and 1 year full cycle leasing – mixed market (market rate, section 8/42).
• Must possess the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Must possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Strong Yardi experience is required.
• Must have intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Maintain professional office environment.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Be able to pass a background check before employment.
