For generations, First Baptist Church of Venice has stood as a beacon of faith, hope, and Gospel ministry along Florida’s Gulf Coast. Following the retirement of our beloved Senior Pastor after 33 years of committed service, and under the faithful leadership of our Transitional Pastor, our Pastor Search Team is prayerfully seeking the man God has already prepared to become our next Senior Pastor and spiritual shepherd.

We are a thriving, multigenerational, multicampus church with two vibrant locations situated just six miles apart: ONE CHURCH-TWO LOCATIONS

• Our Historic Downtown Venice Campus is beautifully located on Venice Island in the heart of one of Florida’s most charming coastal communities.
• Our Lakefront location recently opened on a beautiful 20-acre campus, featuring a state-of-the-art multipurpose facility. Positioned in one of the fastest-growing areas of Sarasota County, this campus is uniquely situated to meet the needs of a rapidly expanding community and continues to provide exciting opportunities for ministry, outreach, discipleship, and community engagement.

Our church family is seeking to discover a servant leader who is:

• Deeply committed to the authority of God’s inerrant Word
• Relational and approachable
• Visionary and purpose-driven
• Passionate about shepherding people across generations
• Dedicated to evangelism, discipleship, missions and community impact
• Equipped to lead staff and congregation with humility, wisdom, and integrity
• Capable to discover and call additional Staff to increase ministry opportunities

Qualified candidates should:

• Meet the scriptural qualifications for pastoral ministry as outlined in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1
• Demonstrate a heart for shepherding, preaching, discipleship, and servant leadership

Additionally, the Pastor Search Team would prefer that candidates:

• Have at least 5-10 years’ experience serving as a Senior Pastor
• Be a Seminary graduate with a M.Div. or Doctorate preferably from an SBC institution

The church is blessed with an exceptional team of seasoned pastors, ministry leaders, and staff members who are unified, committed, and eager to serve alongside the next Senior Pastor as we pursue God’s vision for the future.
