One of our companies is currently looking for a Backend Senior Software Engineer, Monetization Platform in the United States or Canada .

We are seeking a highly skilled backend engineer to join a team building the revenue and entitlement systems powering enterprise-scale growth. This role is critical in designing infrastructure that supports customer purchasing, usage tracking, and billing operations. You’ll tackle challenges such as modeling complex entitlement structures, creating scalable API contracts, and building transactional consistency between financial systems. You'll work across departments to ensure alignment between technical architecture and business goals, directly influencing monetization strategy and the company's commercial expansion. This role is ideal for someone with a strong backend engineering foundation, experience with distributed systems, and a passion for solving technical problems that drive real business impact.

Accountabilities:

• Lead cross-functional engineering projects to build scalable monetization infrastructure
• Design, build, and maintain robust APIs and data models for billing, payments, and entitlements
• Integrate external financial platforms and ensure data consistency across systems
• Collaborate with finance, sales, and go-to-market teams to translate business needs into engineering solutions
• Establish and uphold engineering best practices and mentor peers on the team
• Drive architectural decisions and trade-offs that balance scale, maintainability, and user impact
• Monitor system performance and support operational excellence across deployments

• 8+ years of experience in backend software development, with strong skills in distributed systems
• Expertise in event-driven architectures and platform service design
• Strong experience integrating with third-party APIs and external services
• Deep knowledge of transactional systems and data modeling for financial operations
• Background in subscription management, billing systems, or payment processing
• Proven leadership in end-to-end project delivery across engineering and business functions
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
• Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments
• Authorization to work in the United States or Canada
