Expediter
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shop Expediter to join our dynamic team in Deerfield Beach, FL. As a vital link between our production floor and management, you will play a key role in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials and products through the shop floor.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust priorities as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Communicate with team members and management to ensure clarity on project status and requirements.
- Assist in resolving any production issues or delays in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities.
- Participate in production meetings to discuss production priorities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred. Familiarity with metal cutting machinery, such as CNC mills, lathes, grinding, saws, deburring, and honing.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP systsems (preferably Epicor)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
