Software Engineer (Fullstack)

Position Summary
IT Full Stack Developer who is ready to work with new technologies and architectures in a forward-thinking organization that's constantly pushing boundaries. This person will have complete, end-to-end ownership of projects. The ideal candidate has experience building products across the stack and a firm understanding of web frameworks, APIs, databases, and multiple back-end languages. The full-stack developer will join a small team that uses new technology to solve challenges for both the front-end and back-end architecture, ultimately delivering exceptional experiences for our providers, patients, and customers.
Responsibilities:- Work across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth.
- Develop new features and infrastructure to support rapidly emerging business and project requirements.
- Assume leadership of new projects, from conceptualization to deployment
- Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, and maintain high standards for code quality and application design.
- Work with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and pursuing continued learning opportunities.
- Participate in all aspects of SCRUM/agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment.
- Architect and guide building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale.
- Work primarily in cloud environments, Kubernetes, Node.js, Express, React.js, Redux, Postgres, LaunchDarkly (feature flagging)
- Engage with inspiring designers and front-end engineers and collaborate with leading back-end engineers to create reliable APIs.
- Collaborate across time zones via Jira, GitHub, SharePoint, videoconferences, and other standard platforms.
- Work closely with the IT Sponsors to ensure IT solutions align with business needs.
- Assisted in defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility for new functionalities and enhancements.
- Understanding of DevOps methodologies to drive efficiency in the delivery of IT Services.
- Follow all applicable federal/state regulations concerning Confidentiality and HIPAA, among others.
- Shows initiative and enthusiasm in suggesting and implementing new concepts and ideas for improvement.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps and full-stack development is required
- Healthcare technology and industry experience is preferred.
- A 4-year degree in computer science, healthcare information technology, or a relevant field or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience is required.
- 3+ years of experience with open-source technologies. Work primarily in cloud environments, Kubernetes, Node.js, Express, React.js, Redux, Postgres, LaunchDarkly (feature flagging)
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to accomplish tasks with minimal oversight and management.
- Experience with Agile methodology is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team required.
