Director of Accounting

salary: $130,000 - $165,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Oversees and actively participates in the general accounting, accounts receivable/collection, accounts payable, fixed assets, projects and payroll functions of the finance department.
• Oversees and manages all financial and regulatory reporting requirements on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Ensures all financial reporting complies with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) requirements, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
• Prepares and forecasts annual budget by leading and coordinating finance staff in establishment of base budget for each department and being the liaison with department managers regarding their respective budgets.
• Champions the continuous development & improvement of processes, policies, procedures and internal controls in the areas of accounting, budgeting, forecasting, business planning and financial analysis processes and tools.
• Serve as primary liaison for all audits, including scheduling, coordination, and resolution of audit findings
• Coaches and trains finance department personnel on financial analysis and reporting to promote accurate and appropriate use of financial data.
• Evaluates, selects, manages, develops and motivates department personnel in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Lead & direct the day-to-day operations of the finance department.
• Performs other duties as required.
