Director of Accounting

education: Bachelors Responsibilities
- Oversees and actively participates in the general accounting, accounts receivable/collection, accounts payable, fixed assets, projects and payroll functions of the finance department.
- Oversees and manages all financial and regulatory reporting requirements on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Ensures all financial reporting complies with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) requirements, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
- Prepares and forecasts annual budget by leading and coordinating finance staff in establishment of base budget for each department and being the liaison with department managers regarding their respective budgets.
- Champions the continuous development & improvement of processes, policies, procedures and internal controls in the areas of accounting, budgeting, forecasting, business planning and financial analysis processes and tools.
- Serve as primary liaison for all audits, including scheduling, coordination, and resolution of audit findings
- Coaches and trains finance department personnel on financial analysis and reporting to promote accurate and appropriate use of financial data.
- Evaluates, selects, manages, develops and motivates department personnel in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Lead & direct the day-to-day operations of the finance department.

- Month-End Close (10 years of experience is required)
- Financial Analysis (10 years of experience is required)
- Performance Management (5 years of experience is required)
- Power BI (1 year of experience is preferred)
- CPA (1 year of experience is required)
- Technical Accounting & Research
