About the Opportunity:

The individual will be responsible for examining daily tissue biopsies onsite as prepared by laboratory personnel. They will be tasked with checking the accuracy of lab tests and interpreting the results to facilitate the patient's diagnosis and treatment. Additionally, they work closely with laboratory staff and play a vital role in providing timely results as part of a patient's primary health care team.

• 7 Pathologists and strong support staff
• Schedule: 5 days, flexible days & hours
  • Your choice of mornings, afternoons, or evenings
  • Your choice to work weekdays (Mon–Fri) or a combination of weekdays and weekends
• Daily tissue biopsies (to be diagnosed in accordance with College of American Pathologists turnaround time standards)
• Ability to work collaboratively with other Pathologists
  • Focus on internal quality assurance and intradepartmental consultation as needed
• Capable of maintaining an efficient workflow when diagnosing biopsies
• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory policies

Requirements:

• Experience with Gastrointestinal Pathology sign-out, including either:
  • 1 year of fellowship, or
  • 2-5 years of experience in General Surgical Pathology sign-out, with Gastrointestinal Pathology exposure
• Medical degree and appropriate licensing required; American Board of Pathology Diplomate preferred
• This position requires all reading to be done in-person onsite. There are no digital reading options currently available.

Compensation:

• Fixed rate based upon productivity
