Attorney (Family Law/Veterans) ( {{city}})

We're seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join our VSU. This is a full-time, impactful role supporting local veterans and active-duty personnel from our Jacksonville office.

You'll represent clients in a wide range of family law matters including divorces, child support, paternity, and injunctions for protection. You'll also help identify and address client needs beyond family law - such as housing, employment, consumer, and VA benefits.

Ideal candidates are familiar with military culture, understand military/government retirement benefits, and are sensitive to the unique challenges our veteran clients often face, including trauma and PTSD. Prior military service is a plus, but not required.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct client intake interviews and provide thorough legal counsel
• Draft motions, pleadings, and supporting legal documents
• Represent clients in depositions, hearings, trials, mediation, and settlement negotiations
• Supervise support staff and contribute to team development
• Maintain compliance with grant reporting and program requirements
• Plan and participate in outreach events and legal clinics
• Stay up-to-date on family law statutes, procedures, and case law

What We're Looking For:

• Member in good standing of the Florida Bar
• At least 1 year of marital and family law experience
• Knowledge of Florida Family Law Rules of Civil Procedure
• Experience working with veterans or active-duty military is strongly preferred
• Excellent litigation, counseling, and interpersonal skills
