As a , you will partner with the team to develop and execute promotional plans for Southeast Independent retailers.
Full-Time, Hybrid Role
You will contribute by:
- Applying analytical and quantitative insights to support annual development, including assisting with the planning process, competitive intelligence, sales data, and syndicated data to identify actionable trends and opportunities that drive incremental sales and margin.
- Overseeing the execution of assigned vendor programs, allowances, performance funds, incentives, forward buys, and direct plan ship options—maintaining efficiency incentives as a competitive advantage.
- Partnering with the Commercial and Promotional Planning teams in the assigned region to implement sales programs and support local events.
- Managing the execution of , milestones, and deliverables, including deal submissions, demand planning, new item introductions, and key selling events.
- Performing SKU rationalization and working with suppliers to ensure optimal assortments for customers while monitoring commodity market risks for the assigned desk.
- Serving as the primary point of escalation for assigned vendor/broker tactics and day-to-day planning, including deal submission and approval, and coordinating with Manufacturing, Buying, and Transportation to resolve out-of-stock (OOS) issues.
- Monitoring and tracking trade fund planning execution (passed and retained), flyer income, incentives, forward buys, truckload opportunities, and other income streams; escalating variances to the Sr. for resolution.
- Participating in cross-functional planning initiatives to support both corporate and regional growth strategies.
We’re searching for candidates with:
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; comfortable interpreting and leveraging complex financial data.
- Experience in and promotional execution.
- Solid understanding of financial methodologies to determine costs, develop annual business plans, and oversee daily metrics (sales, volume, inventory, costs, etc.).
- Ability to concisely present analysis results, data models, and project outcomes to management.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Excellent planning, prioritization, and time management abilities.
- Comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments — adaptable and solutions-oriented.
- Ability to operate effectively in both tactical and strategic capacities.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Marketing required.
- 0-2 years of experience in retail/supermarket, wholesale, and/or CPG industries.
- Ability to travel occasionally (limited to a few times per year, including a minimum of two food shows annually).
