JOB SUMMARY:
- Responsible for the care, maintenance and beatification of our community and resort plant beds.
- Responsible for trimming/pruning shrubs, ground covers, vines and some trees and palms with hand-held tools and power equipment.
- Performs removal, installation and maintenance of plant material in beds and containers, and manual weeding.
- Operating and maintaining hand tools, such as loppers, saws, and shovels efficiently.
- Operating and maintaining garden and landscaping equipment, golf carts, trailers, and power tools.
- Keeping grounds free from trash, litter, and debris, and leaves, needles and other dead plant materials.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High school degree or GED preferred.
- Three to five years landscape maintenance experience, preferably in a commercial, residential or resort environment required;
- or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
- Must be able to operate various loud and vibrating maintenance tools and equipment
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb and move safely over uneven terrain.
- Able to work inside and outdoors and in various climates
Valid Florida Drivers License Required.
