Job Summary:

Under supervision, carries out responsibilities in all the following areas:

Vendor account reconciliations, accounts payables, and processing check requests. Provides administrative assistance to include but is not limited to maintaining filing systems, generating reports, preparing mailings, typing.. Strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of accounts payable processes.

Requirements

Education: Associates Degree in Accounting (Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred).

Experience: Three (3) + years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or similar position.

Skills: Computer skills, including all Microsoft Office software. Effective oral and written communication skills. Experience using Excel and other accounting software. Attention to detail and good record-keeping skills a must. Multi-tasking skills. Strong math skills required.

Excel skills must include use of advanced functions such as pivot tables, vlookup, graphing, etc.

Knowledge: Accounting or bookkeeping principles and processes.

Abilities: Ability to complete tasks while maintaining confidentiality. Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Must be able to gather and analyze information. Must be highly organized and able to prioritize. Must be able to handle stressful situations and prioritize at a moment’s notice. Must be able to manage quickly changing priorities while meeting deadlines.
