Vice President of Nursing

The Vice President of Nursing is a leadership position responsible for overseeing the agency's nursing services and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to clients. The Vice President will play a key role in shaping the agency's overall development, policies, and operational practices, working closely with the administrative team to maintain excellence in client care.

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida
At least three years of nursing experience, with a minimum of two years in an administrative or supervisory role in community health
A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field is preferred
A Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health, or related studies is a plus
Public Health Certification is preferred
Key Responsibilities

Assist in planning and directing the agency's service program, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement new administrative policies and procedures
Supervise and evaluate the effectiveness of work methods and procedures to ensure high-quality care
Review and adjust administrative policies and practices to optimize staff efficiency and goal achievement
Oversee the quarterly clinical record review program
Ensure the accuracy of public information materials and related activities
Supervise job classifications and personnel responsibilities
Lead the hiring process, ensuring the recruitment of a qualified, well-organized staff to meet the needs of clients and their families
Create staffing patterns that balance quality care with operational efficiency
Develop methods for coordinating care across all disciplines and ensure high standards of practice
Provide leadership and mentorship to improve staff performance and practices
Lead service committees to meet the objectives of the care program
Provide consultation to supervisors, staff, and physicians regarding client care and service delivery
Foster staff development through orientation programs, training, and continuing education opportunities
Evaluate the overall performance of the program, offering recommendations for improvements and changes when needed
Participate in local and national health-related organizations to stay informed on industry trends
Build relationships with healthcare professionals and organizations to develop referral sources and expand the agency's network
Ensure a positive rapport with community resources related to home care services
Organizational Relationship

Reports directly to the President
Special Requirements

Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and necessary insurance coverage
Functional Abilities

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Physical ability to perform all necessary duties of the position
