Support Specialist I
- Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade all hardware and equipment (including but not limited to PC, terminals, printers and scanners) to ensure optimal workstation performance in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide exemplary end-user assistance across the infrastructure in person, via telephone or remote access.
- Provide technical assistance and support to end-users for computer systems, software, hardware, and network-related issues. Assist employees with computer-related issues, providing guidance as necessary while following best practices and best judgement. Set up new user accounts, profiles, email accounts, and permissions.
- Perform general preventative maintenance tasks (such as OS and driver updates, general optimization) on computers, laptops, printers and any other authorized equipment. Install, upgrade, support and troubleshooting desktop operating systems and any other authorized desktop applications.
- Respond promptly and professionally to user inquiries, providing exceptional customer service. Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to resolve complex technical issues. Communicate important IT updates and information to employees in a clear and understandable manner using communication channels as outlined by the department procedures.
- Use imaging tools and methodologies to load, copy, and customize operating system configurations for deployment as needed by device type. Escalate any issue to an infrastructure team member when the issue is beyond the scope of access or knowledge for computers, laptops, printers and any/or other authorized equipment.
- Escalate issues and involve internal experts or vendors wherever required to resolve issues as quickly as possible. Provide prompt, exemplary customer service, respond in a timely manner, and follow up on issues as needed.
- Participate in an on-call rotation schedule, providing after-hours support to clients as needed and other duties as assigned.
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- 1 or more years of experience
- Associates Degree or certification equivalent preferred
- 8am to 5pm to accommodate West coast operations
- On-call duty is required approximately every 4-5 weeks to include evenings and weekends
- No phone calls or agencies, please.
- No relocation assistance is available.
