Management Trainee
- Assists with coordination of all branch operations including the appropriate use of all physical resources.
- Manage upkeep and condition of all equipment, plant, fixtures.
- Liaison with suppliers, merchandisers and other partners.
- Recruit, train and develop staff.
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing and tactics.
- Advertising and promotional strategy and activities in line with budgetary parameters.
- Contribute to company strategy and policy-making.
- Manage customer service activities and staff competence in these areas.
- Manage costs and overheads, and all factors affecting the profitable performance of the branch.
- Manage branch costs and overheads

- Provided paperwork to Corporate as required
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent and computer skills in Excel, Word, etc.
- Minimum of 3 years in assistant management of a service, warehouse or construction branch

- Ability to understand workflow, identify process improvements, summarize issues, and make recommendations to management.
- Experience assessing and preparing documentation related to operational processes.
- Ability to strategically think through initiatives, issues and opportunities while contemplating unintended consequences
- Strong communication, time management and presentation skill
- Repeated physical effort including driving for several hours per day or several hours at a time, standing and walking for extended periods of time (more than several hours), loading and unloading equipment into and out of company vehicles, walking on varying ground surfaces and frequently lifting a minimum of 50 pound
- Working from ele vated platforms, ladders or truck beds
- Operating hand/power tools, manual dexterity to operate keyboards and smart phones, physical agility to use arms, legs and hands repetitively
- Working outdoors, working safely under adverse environmental and weather conditions which include high speed traffic areas, heavy construction equipment, fuel fumes and construction substances
- Comfortable around vehicles moving through work zones and maintaining constant awareness of surroundings on construction site including placement of machinery and equipment, other employees and construction activities
- Vision adequate to see moving vehicles, read highway construction MOT signs, read instructions, manuals, reports, and construction plans
- Hearing adequate to hear approaching vehicles, audible commands at a distance from supervisors, conversations in person, and over the telephone
- Communicating clearly - both written and verbally, ability to complete daily paperwork as required by supervisor
- Working a flexible schedule which can include day or night shifts, weekends and/or holidays, adjusting to a changing work schedule, working overtime and working individually and as a team with other employees
- Valid driver's license required, will require passing MVR and controlled substance test, may require background and criminal record check. Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
- Must maintain company standards post-employment for background checks, criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing
