Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care to patients in a timely and efficient manner
• Diagnose and treat various medical conditions, including life-threatening emergencies
• Collaborate with nursing and administrative staff to ensure optimal patient flow
• Document patient history and clinical findings accurately
• Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on medical practices
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Assist with the coordination of care and referral to specialists when necessary
• Contribute to the development of best practices in the emergency department

Requirements

• Valid MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Current board certification in Emergency Medicine
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency medicine setting
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to perform under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
• Current medical license to practice in the state of Florida

Flexible Schedule: Day or night shifts

No call required

Annual Volume: 13,500 patients

Facility: Free-standing ER with separate pediatric waiting area, triage, and bay

Support Staff: 24-hour MD coverage, seasonal APP coverage

EMR: Meditech pDoc

Dictation: M-Modal

Must be board-certified or board-eligible

DEA required
