About Us:
Safe Space Sitters, LLC is a neurodiversity-affirming care service that connects compassionate, reliable companions with individuals and families seeking meaningful, inclusive support. We prioritize empathy, respect, and person-centered connection in everything we do.
About the Role:
We are seeking a Social Companion to spend time with an independent adult living at Quest Village in the UCF/Orlando area. The ideal candidate will enjoy friendly conversation, shared outings, and helping promote social engagement in a calm, encouraging way.
This is not a caregiver or medical role — it’s about companionship and creating opportunities for community connection.
The individual enjoys:
Theme parks (Universal, Disney)
Talking about voice acting, animation, and dinosaurs
Watching fun, nostalgic shows like Sky High or Steven Universe
Exploring new interests and social settings at a comfortable pace
Ideal Candidate Traits:
- Kind, patient, and neurodivergent-affirming
- Friendly, down-to-earth, and consistent in communication
- Enjoys casual outings (movies, dinner, local events, etc.)
- Professional and dependable with strong boundaries
- Comfortable engaging with adults with mild developmental differences
Requirements:
- Must be 18+ years old
- Reliable transportation (some outings require local travel)
- Clean background check (required before hire)
- Prior experience in social services, psychology, ABA, or related fields preferred but not required
- Availability 1–2 days per week for 4–5 hour sessions
