Preconstruction Manager (Ground-up Construction)

Our client is a well-established general contractor in South Florida known for delivering large-scale, ground-up multifamily developments throughout the region. With a strong pipeline of residential work and an expanding presence in the K–12 education sector, they are seeking a seasoned Preconstruction Manager to lead estimating efforts and support continued growth across both markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the full preconstruction process from conceptual budgeting through final GMP

• Prepare detailed estimates for large multifamily and K–12 construction projects

• Review drawings, specs, and scopes to ensure accuracy and completeness

• Manage subcontractor bidding, leveling, and scope reviews

• Collaborate closely with project management, operations, and ownership teams

• Develop value engineering strategies and cost-saving solutions

• Maintain historical cost data and market pricing trends

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in preconstruction/estimating with a GC

• strong background in large multifamily projects (required)

• Experience with K–12 or public sector projects highly preferred

• Proficient in estimating software and takeoff tools

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple large projects simultaneously
