About the role

Manages Engineering, Environmental and Facility Maintenance functions at the facility. establishes and administers Capital Facility Maintenance Budget, proposes/justifies capital spending projects and provides directly or indirectly, technical resources to Plant Operations Teams.

Your responsibilities

• Analyzes production and facilities problems and makes recommendations to improve production processes and oversees the completion of all projects assuring compliance with approved engineering specifications.
• Coordinates the engineering activities with production departments to insure uninterrupted plant operations.
• Assures continuous service of utilities; analyzes and reports cost of utilities and explores alternatives that will result in greater economy, safety and reliability.
• Primary Plant contact with Regulatory agencies such as Fire Department, E.P.A., L.E.P.C., facility insurance representatives, etc.
• Prepares maintenance and plant engineering budget requests and administers funds allotted to the department under the approved annual budget or special allocation.
• Collaborates with the Purchasing department in the negotiations of contracts for work to be performed outside contractors and ascertains that engineering specifications are maintained as project progresses.
• Prepares and submits reports as required, such as proposed project reports, current studies and investigations, project status reports, fire inspection reports, etc.
• Knowledgeable of the ISO-9002 Quality System and related SOP’s and Control Plans. Insures effective implementation of Quality System in Engineering and Maintenance.
• Performs functions inherent in all supervisory positions including performance evaluation and Training & Development programs for professionals and mechanics.
• Contributes to the Training documentation requirements of the Plant Safety Program.
• Manages the Plant Environmental and Regulatory requirement adherence function.
• Accurately assesses strengths and development needs of the Engineering and Maintenance Team. Gives timely feedback and coaching. Provides developmental assignments to achieve high performance.
• Participates in ongoing self-development to insure professional, functional and industry competence.
• Demonstrates Reckitt values, principled leadership and ethical behavior to build trust, credibility and foster teamwork.
• Ensures the Engineering and Maintenance Team’s compliance with all appropriate regulations, rules, policies and procedures (i.e. Federal, State, Corporate, Plant – EEOC, OSHA, EPA, FDA, GMP. Etc

The experience we're looking for

• B.S. Degree in Engineering
• 7-10 years Project Engineering experience in Manufacturing or related industry
• Effective Communication Skills (Mutual Understanding & Support) written & verbal.
• Formal Project Management Skills from concept to implementation and support.
• Effective Team Dynamics Skills
• Effective Meeting Skills
• Quality Control Plan, related SOP’s and Work Instructions
• Applicable Safety Rules & Regulations
• Strives for Continuous Learning to Keep Skills up-to-date
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

US salary ranges

USD $140,000.00 - $210,000.00

US pay transparency

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
