Position Overview:

The Journeyman Energy Analyst provides technical and administrative support to Air Force energy programs, focusing on data entry, reporting, and coordination efforts across enterprise platforms. This position supports Installation Energy Managers, AFCEC, and AF OEA staff by maintaining data integrity, identifying discrepancies, and assisting in the preparation of energy reports and analysis products. The analyst contributes to compliance tracking and energy performance initiatives through consistent and accurate data support.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor and validate monthly energy and water consumption data using platforms such as NexGen IT and CTS
• Support quality control and preparation of recurring energy reports, including monthly data summaries, quarterly updates, and input for the Annual Energy Performance, Resilience and Readiness (AEPRR)
• Assist in developing and updating tools, templates, and training materials to support Installation Energy Managers in meeting reporting requirements
• Identify and report data inconsistencies, coordinate corrections with installation stakeholders, and maintain accurate system records
• Provide support to energy benchmarking, metering initiatives, and compliance tracking programs such as EISA Section 432
• Participate in internal reviews and assist in assembling technical documentation for program use and stakeholder coordination

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, energy management, logistics, or a related technical field
• In lieu of a degree, an additional four (4) years of directly related experience may be accepted

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience supporting federal energy programs, facility energy reporting, or data management systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, basic analysis, and use of formulas for quality control
• Familiarity with energy tracking platforms such as NexGen IT, CTS, or similar systems used for installation-level data reporting
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to support coordination with energy managers and technical staff
• Ability to follow established processes and assist in the preparation of energy documentation, spreadsheets, and summary reports
• S. citizenship and ability to obtain DOD Secret security clearance required.
