Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manager of Accounting (Lab) to oversee financial operations and accounting functions for our laboratory facility in DeLand, FL. This role will be responsible for managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger reconciliations, and financial reporting to ensure accurate and timely financial records. The successful candidate will work closely with laboratory management and the corporate finance team to maintain compliance with healthcare accounting standards and support the facility's financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for the laboratory facility
• Perform monthly general ledger reconciliations and balance sheet reviews
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports for management and corporate headquarters
• Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and healthcare-specific regulatory requirements
• Monitor laboratory billing and revenue cycle processes to maximize reimbursement accuracy
• Reconcile patient billing accounts and manage insurance claim submissions
• Assist with annual audits and financial reviews
• Supervise accounting staff and maintain organized financial documentation
• Support budget development and variance analysis for the facility

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of accounting or financial management experience
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare accounting or laboratory billing operations
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification
• Experience with healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements
• Prior experience managing and supervising accounting staff
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) or healthcare ERP systems
