Product Manager - Cirrus Products
Avidyne is searching for a visionary P roduct Manager (Cirrus Products) to shape the future of avionics for Cirrus pilots. This role is at the heart of our product strategy, where deep aviation expertise meets innovative technology. You’ll translate the needs of Cirrus owners and pilots into cutting-edge avionics solutions, ensuring seamless integration, superior functionality, and a competitive edge in the general aviation market.

As a strategic leader, you’ll drive product development, align cross-functional teams, and refine our avionics portfolio to deliver industry-leading solutions. Define Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for Avidyne’s Cirrus-focused avionics solutions.
- Conduct market research to understand Cirrus pilots’ needs, technological trends, and customer preferences.
- Align product strategies with Avidyne’s business objectives to drive innovation and market growth.
Lead Product Development & Lifecycle Management
- Work closely with engineering, design, and operations teams to define requirements, prioritize features, and drive successful product launches.
- Own the product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life, ensuring continuous enhancements and competitive positioning.
- Capture market and product needs in a Product Requirements Document (PRD) to represent the "voice of the customer."
Engage with Customers & Stakeholders
- Act as the key advocate for Cirrus pilots and owners, ensuring their needs are at the forefront of product development.
- Build strong relationships with Cirrus operators to gather insights and refine our avionics offerings.
- Provide training and support to internal teams, equipping them to communicate product value effectively.
Drive Market & Competitive Analysis
- Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive strategies in the avionics space.
- Develop pricing strategies and business cases to support product launches and strategic initiatives.
Experience & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of avionics systems, including navigation, communication, and situational awareness technologies.
- Pilot’s license with experience flying Cirrus aircraft.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in an engineering discipline) and at least 5 years of experience in product management,
Key Skills
- Proven ability to develop and execute product strategies that drive market growth.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage stakeholders across all levels.
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and avionics certification processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with agile product development methodologies.
- Understanding of human factors and user-centered design principles in avionics.
