Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
This position is responsible for originating and managing lower middle market/commercial & industrial relationships throughout the Bank’s Florida footprint, with a primary focus on the greater Orlando area. Responsible for the origination and support of loan requests and their underwriting, and generating full relationships, for middle market businesses. Responsible for developing profitable revenue growth through the generation of loans, deposits, and fees, cross selling all applicable Bank services to existing and new middle market clients.
The VP/SVP, Commercial Relationship Manager‘s Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Originate profitable new relationships for the Bank, both credit and non-credit.
- Cross-sell all applicable Bank products and services to existing portfolio, and new Bank customers, and manage the sales process in assigned marketing area.
- Develop extensive knowledge of all customer businesses and their industries.
- Meet or exceed all loan, deposit and fee generation targets. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Work with underwriters in the structuring, development, and underwriting of loan requests including the gathering and analyzing of financial, industry, and market data.
- Present prepared credit requests to the appropriate individual or committee as directed for approval.
- Monitor, on an ongoing basis, information concerning customer performance, business fundamentals, and industry to determine that the loan is an acceptable risk according to the Bank’s credit policy.
- Ensure proper reporting, documentation and loan reviews to determine that the credit remains an acceptable risk and appropriately risk rated.
- Identify acceptable high-value prospects and develop them into relationships over time with a consistent, advice-driven calling program. Develop strong referral sources and centers of influence.
- Manage all assigned and originated loans within your individual portfolio to optimize risk and performance.
- Participate in various community affairs and bank designated projects to promote the Axiom Bank brand and further develop new business opportunities.

Working Conditions
- This position is performed in a regular office work environment. Must be able to work independently from remote locations and within the office environment, as well as travel to client sites. This is a full-time position. The incumbent will be expected to be able to work Monday through Friday and work will mainly be performed at the assigned location; occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Flexibility with work location and hours may be granted if circumstances permit.

Qualifications Summary
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics.
Experience
- Minimum of 5+ years of commercial and industrial (operating company) banking experience primarily in a client coverage/ business development role with demonstrated aptitude for credit analysis and business analysis.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Advanced client relationship and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
- Demonstrated sales and negotiating experience
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
- Thorough knowledge of credit & commercial lending
- Advanced analytical skills
- Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel necessary.
