Job Summary

A respected, nationally recognized commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Construction Paralegal to support its corporate legal team in West Palm Beach, FL. This is a strong opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, in-house legal environment with exposure to commercial construction, litigation, E-Discovery, contracts, liens, employment-related matters, and legal operations.

The Construction Paralegal will provide direct support to regional General Counsel and collaborate closely with attorneys, operations teams, HR, IT, outside counsel, and legal vendors. This role offers stability, visibility, and the opportunity to join an established organization with a professional legal department, supportive leadership, and a team-focused environment where accuracy, discretion, and initiative are valued.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage document collection, organization, privilege review, and production for subpoenas, discovery requests, E-Discovery matters, and other legal proceedings.
- Administer legal holds, E-Discovery workflows, E-billing systems, document management processes, legal records, and departmental filing procedures.
- Prepare and maintain legal documents related to construction matters, including Claims of Lien, Satisfactions of Lien, releases, Notices to Owner, and Notices of Commencement.
- Support contract documentation by preparing execution packages, comparing documents, managing exhibits, and uploading documents to DocuSign as needed.
- Conduct legal research, retrieve and review public records, track professional license renewals, monitor transfer bonds, and prepare legal reports, agendas, and related documentation.
- Coordinate with HR, IT, operations, outside counsel, vendors, and internal legal team members on litigation, employment, compliance, and administrative legal matters.

Compensation and Benefits

- Compensation: $43.00 to $52.00 per hour.
- Annual compensation noted at approximately $90,000 to $100,000, based on experience.
- Employment type: Temp-to-Hire or Direct Hire, based on experience.
- Schedule and work arrangement: Full-time, 100% on-site in West Palm Beach, FL 33401.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage E-Discovery requests, legal holds, document reviews, and responsive document productions.
- Support corporate legal operations, including E-billing, document management, legal records, reporting, and vendor coordination.
- Prepare, track, and maintain construction-related legal documents, liens, notices, releases, contracts, and public records.
- Conduct legal research and provide paralegal support to in-house counsel across litigation, contracts, employment, and business matters.

- Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of related paralegal or legal experience, or approximately 6 to 10 years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Strong understanding of legal department procedures, document management, legal research, and business operations.
- Experience using legal research tools such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, Loislaw, PACER, or similar platforms.
- Working knowledge of E-Discovery procedures and software, such as Relativity, Concordance, Summation, or comparable systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, database systems, internet research, and document management tools.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple legal matters, deadlines, documents, and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, executives, internal teams, outside counsel, and vendors.
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and judgment when handling confidential and sensitive legal information.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working in a corporate or in-house legal department.
- Background supporting commercial litigation, construction law, labor and employment matters, or a large law firm environment.
- Construction industry experience is helpful but not required.
- Procore experience is a plus.
