ABOUT THE ROLE
UA Brands is seeking a Backend Web Developer II to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications, backend services, and APIs that power our ecommerce and business operations. This role is ideal for an experienced C#/.NET developer who enjoys building high-performance applications, solving complex technical challenges, and collaborating across teams.
You'll primarily focus on backend development while partnering with frontend developers and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, user-focused solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with modern development practices, including AI-assisted coding tools, system design, testing, and continuous improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Software Development
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain backend web applications using C#, .NET, and related technologies.
- Build and support RESTful APIs, business services, and system integrations.
- Write clean, scalable, maintainable code following software engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to support React-based user experiences.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards and technical quality.
Software Testing & Quality Assurance
- Develop and execute unit, integration, and regression testing strategies.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Ensure applications meet security, reliability, and scalability requirements.
- Support deployment validation and production monitoring activities.
Software Design & Architecture
- Participate in system design and software architecture discussions.
- Recommend technical solutions that improve application performance, maintainability, and scalability.
- Evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and AI-assisted development tools.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and contribute to software development roadmaps.

- AI-assisted development tools (Cursor or similar coding assistants)

- Code review and version control workflows
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing web applications, customer portals, SaaS platforms, or enterprise business systems
- Experience building scalable, cloud-based web applications
- Ecommerce software development experience
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and services
- Familiarity with cloud-based application environments
- Knowledge of application performance optimization and security best practices and backend best practices
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- 5–7+ years of professional software development experience
- Proven experience developing web applications using C# and .NET technologies
- Experience working in collaborative software engineering teams
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple development priorities
- Associate degree (AS/AA) or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
