Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Cardiology

First Coast Heart & Vascular is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing cardiology team in Palm Coast, Florida . This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside Electrophysiologists, Interventional Cardiologists, and General Cardiologists while developing broad cardiovascular experience within an established, collaborative practice.

The position includes primarily outpatient cardiology with limited hospital responsibilities. Whether you're an experienced APP or a new graduate looking to begin your career in cardiology, you'll have the opportunity to learn from experienced cardiovascular specialists and build a strong foundation in cardiovascular medicine.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
• Conduct new patient evaluations and follow-up visits
• Provide ongoing management for a broad range of cardiovascular conditions
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing, including EKGs, laboratory studies, imaging, and stress testing
• Develop treatment plans in collaboration with cardiologists
• Educate patients on diagnoses, medications, lifestyle modifications, and cardiovascular risk reduction
• Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, and referring providers
• Participate in shared hospital rounding and call responsibilities

Schedule & Call

• Monday–Friday outpatient clinic schedule
• Shared weekend hospital call rotation with another APP
• Remote weekday evening call coverage from 6:00 PM–8:00 AM
• Monday off following weekend call coverage

Qualifications

• Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Active Florida license or ability to obtain prior to start
• Cardiology experience preferred but not required
• New graduate NPs and PAs are encouraged to apply
• Strong interest in cardiovascular medicine
• Excellent clinical, communication, and documentation skills
• Collaborative, patient-focused approach to care
