• Works with the Regional Orthopedic Institute team to develop and review orthopedic clinical policies and procedures.
• Develops patient education and community outreach materials in collaboration with marketing to inform the community and increase market share.
• Monitors performance metrics and ensures compliance with activities required to achieve and maintain practice-specific certifications.
• Conducts daily rounds on in-patients with physicians to ensure desired patient outcomes and coordinates care issues with the interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborates with case management on post-op discharge planning and strategies to decrease length of stay.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to be flexible and function in a stressful, fast-changing environment. • Must possess advanced knowledge in the specialty of Orthopedics and Orthopedic Nursing. • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook & Power Point preferred. • Skilled in providing age-appropriate education. • Professional and leadership skills, ability to interact appropriately with patients, families, treatment team, and physicians regarding care management interventions and illness adjustment issues. • Advanced knowledge of adult orthopedic treatment, care, and prevention. • Ability to communicate with patients, family, and staff in a professional, friendly manner. • Proven working relationship with surgeons. • Strong detail-orientation and follow-up capacity. • Excellent organizational skills. • Ability to multi-task. • Aptitude for critical thinking, decision-making, and managing multiple competing priorities. • Demonstrated success in relationship building. • Ability to keep the team focused on goals/timelines. • Strong data analysis skills, requiring interpretation of clinical results to develop program improvement projects. • Self-directed, organized. • Ability to lead meetings and create a culture of transparency, teamwork, quality, and accountability. • Collaborative, team approach. • Project management preferred. • Data collection and analysis preferred. • Ability to create a clear vision for a successful future state of the program. • Ability to collaborate with peers and make changes through influence versus title. • Customer service focused. • Evidence-based practice implementation and innovation.
