Catering Sales and Events Manager

We are expanding our catering and off-premise event services and are seeking a driven, energetic Catering Sales & Events Manager to lead and grow our catering division while increasing our visibility and presence within the community. Position Summary
The Catering Sales & Events Manager is responsible for driving catering revenue growth while overseeing the successful execution of all on- and off-premise events.
This is a highly sales-focused leadership role requiring proactive prospecting, relationship building, community networking, and contract closing — in addition to operational oversight.
This role combines revenue generation, client relationship management, and event execution to ensure every catered experience reflects the Don Julio Restaurant Group brand standards.
This position reports to the Operational Manager. Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Proactively generate new catering business through prospecting, networking, and community engagement
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of corporate and social event clients
- Manage client inquiries, proposals, contracts, and secure deposits and final payments
- Participate in Chamber, networking events, and community functions to increase brand visibility
- Collaborate with marketing and media teams to promote catering services
- Meet or exceed catering revenue targets
- Oversee all catering functions ranging from small corporate lunches to large-scale weddings and banquets
- Coordinate with culinary teams to arrange menu selections and event specifications
- Oversee event logistics including transportation, setup, execution, and breakdown
- Ensure flawless event execution and exceptional guest experience
- Maintain professionalism, efficiency, and adherence to brand standards
- Partner with operations teams and managers to align execution with company expectations
- Manage food, beverage, and labor costs while maintaining profitability
- Perform inventory management to ensure minimal waste and accurate product valuation
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Maintain strong knowledge of menu offerings, presentation standards, and pricing
- Represent Don Julio Restaurant Group professionally in all client and community interactions
- 3+ years of catering, restaurant management, or hospitality sales experience
- Proven track record of generating revenue through prospecting and client development
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred to support diverse guest and team communication
- Detail-oriented, energetic, and highly organized
- Proficiency in catering management software and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and extended event hours
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Must be insurable under company auto insurance policy
- Ability to safely operate a company catering van for event transport
- Base Salary: $50,000 – $65,000 annually (depending on experience)
