Part Time Janitorial Staff - Weekends - Tampa, FL

Great opportunity to work for our fast-growing company, Guardian Professional Services! We are currently recruiting experienced office cleaners/ janitors and custodial candidates.

Here at Guardian, we are looking for someone who is energetic, detail oriented, is able to operate machinery and equipment, motivated and able to work independently or in a team setting.

Essential Functions:

The Cleaner position provides the cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area. We ask you to clean and maintain the industrial space at the cargo area outside of the airport. Performs heavy cleaning, such as waxing and deep cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls, dusting, glass cleaning and removing of trash,

Able to establish effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors and managers etc.

Cleaner must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned.

Job duties:

Able to lift or carry up 40lbs

Mopping

General Office Cleaning

Vacuuming

Disinfecting all surfaces

Trash removal

Knowledge of basic janitorial duties are responsibilities very helpful. Must have great listening skills and verbal communications.

A uniform is required at worksite and must maintain a neat appearance.

Must attend a periodic training for the airport and company safety trainings.

MUST BE PUNCTUAL

Estimated Salary: $15.50/hr

Preferred Qualifications

Customer Service Experience

2 to 5 years of similar Janitorial work experience required

5 years’ experience in  housekeeping  and  janitorial  work preferred.

Work Environment – Small/Medium workspace, fast paced work environment.

Responsibilities

- Cleaning desired areas floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them. Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment on order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.

- Dusting and washes furniture and walls, and dusts and polishes light fixtures.

- May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.

- Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment

- Gathers and empties trash

- Wipes and cleans tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas

- Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures

- Must keep janitor’s closet neat and orderly and maintain equipment in good working order

- Requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties

- Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Position Starts immediately!

Schedule: Saturday and Sunday: 7:00am -3.30pm

1 week is a paid training for all new candidates

Must have at least 5-10 years Janitorial Cleaning Experience!
