Job Title: Post-Harvest Tech III
Department: Post-Harvest

ROLE SUMMARY
The Post-Harvest Technician III provides manual labor to support the operations within the post-harvest department, while abiding by laws, rules, policies, procedures, and operational guidelines. The Post-Harvest Technician III position will primarily support the Machine Operations team with day-to-day production tasks and sanitation responsibilities. In addition, as determined by business need, Post-Harvest Technician III team members may be flexed to provide support in harvest, drying, curing, and trimming.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Become proficient in the setup, adjustment, and operations of all equipment in the facilities
· Perform periodic checks on equipment and solve problems detected
· Work with others to ensure that equipment is in proper working order
· Responsible for running, maintaining, and cleaning of the machinery
· Observe and follow company safety rules and regulations
· Attention to detail to ensure the machine is properly cared for and the environment is held to food safety standards
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Assist in training Post-Harvest Technician I and II team members.
· Perform various manual cross-department job duties as needed
· Secondary but essential job functions
· All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
· Must be proficient and achieve goals in all Post-Harvest Technician I and II skill assessments.
· Must be active in the Post-Harvest Technician II role for a minimum of 6 months to qualify for Post-Harvest Technician III role.
· Maintain good discipline and attendance standards.
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV)
· Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening.
· Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
· Works well in a team environment.
· Attention to detail.
· Punctual.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
· Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)
· Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
· Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, repetitive movement, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks.
· At times, the entire shift may be spent standing.
· Requires repetitive hand, wrist, finger and elbow movement.
· Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, and visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
· Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)

Salary will be commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available “after hours” if an emergency situation should arise.
