Operations Sidekick Extraordinaire: Dive into every department, sprinkle your magic everywhere, and support the General Manager as the hotel's ultimate ambassador of style and positivity. PROPERTY INFORMATION: Travelers can celebrate style at Aloft Gainesville University Area, a hip new hotel where guest will be close to the University of Florida campus. We offer easy-breezy access to its sports venues, museums, and medical facilities. Nearby are Butler Plaza West's shops and restaurants. Guest can meet & mingle with friends at our W XYZ(SM) bar, grab a sweet, savory, or healthy snack from Re:fuel by Aloft, our 24/7 pantry, or play in our Re:mix lounge. Guests can breeze into one of our Aloft rooms, featuring our ultra-comfortable signature bed and custom amenities by Bliss Spa. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE At least 2 years of progressive hotel sales experience preferred; or a 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience; or a 2-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience.
Valid driver's license in the applicable state required.
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills; ability to negotiate, sell, and influence.
Thorough experience with professional selling skills: opening, probing, supporting, closing.
Strong analytical skills and strategic vision.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer knowledge.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Strong organization and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage and interact with people of diverse backgrounds.
Advanced knowledge of sales, marketing, and hospitality principles.
Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure.
