We are seeking a Senior Event Manager to lead the planning and execution of our group events, ensuring every detail is flawlessly delivered. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative, detail-oriented professional to elevate the guest experience and bring unforgettable events to life at the Conrad.

What will I be doing?

As Senior Event Services Manager you will be responsible for event execution between the hotel and the customer during the meeting or event. Acts as liaison between the customer and the hotel by directing each department within the hotel as to their specific role in the on-site event. Successful achievement of this goal will ultimately result in a major contribution to the re-booking of the business for future dates. Maximizes revenues through effective up-selling of products and services. Serve as the event planner primary contact during event on property and is responsible for his/her experience.

Specifically, your essential functions will be to perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Provide direction and supervision to affected departments and team members during the execution of meeting and/or event.
• Directly serve on site group and catering customers in a proactive manner.
• To organize, plan and prioritize your duties by developing plans and goals.
• Timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person.
• Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, booking systems, and processes.
• Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts.
• Selling and influencing both internal and external clients.
• Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating the issues and determine the best solution.
• Ensure high quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand the guest needs, providing direction and guidance, feedback and individual coaching when needed.
• Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary.
• Other duties as necessary based on business needs

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum of 2+ years of catering or event management experience required
  • Prior hotel event management experience preferred
  • Experience with Delphi FDC or similar event management systems preferred
  • Knowledge of the local market strongly preferred (relocation assistance not offered)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on group/event needs
