POSITION SUMMARY

The Clinical Manager has responsibility for the day-to-day operations of their divisional markets, ensuring that staff delivers high quality care focused on our patients and their experience. The Clinical Manager is responsible for oversight of departments/teams to include surgery Schedulers, DME and Clinic Assistants, X-Ray Techs and PA’s & ARNP’s. The Clinical Manager will maintain constant communication with Supervisor and Director to ensure all clinics are staffed and the necessary equipment is in place for each area to operate at maximum efficiency. The Clinical Manager will have a working knowledge of all aspects of the medical back-office functions to ensure qualified staff follow proper procedures.

The Clinical Manager will ensure FOI’s mission, vision, values and strategy lead to operational excellence and ensure initiatives are implemented and communicated. The Clinical Manager is an exemplary model, for both staff and patients, for professionalism, compassion, accountability, respect, excellence and service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Direct oversight of clinical supervisors, operations and processes.

· Covers Supervisors PTO and approves team PTO.

· Participates in implementation of new technologies and systems to enhance practice efficiency.

· Serves as a liaison for physician practice to department staff, clinical management, and hospital services.

· Manage and direct the efforts of physician teams and recommend personnel actions including, but not limited to hiring, performance management,

scheduling and work assignments, disciplinary action, promotions, and transfers.

· Create, maintain, and monitor budget for clinical teams.

· Use financial and productivity analysis to make decisions.

· Monitor s and analyze s key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.

· Reviews and approves purchase requests and invoices in Hybrent.

· Function as a liaison with physicians and staff to resolve problems related to clinical processes.

· Support the development of clinical policies and procedures with the Manager of Quality and Compliance.

· Support the development of clinical training content and programs with the Director of Training and Development.

· Assist in the strategic planning and openings of new TOC locations.

· Maximize opportunities to best utilize TOC team member resources by optimizing clinical processes.

· Serve as an administrative representative on TOC Operations and QIC committees.

· Work closely with the TOC Director of Operations to ensure clinical quality and process consistency across all regional locations.

· Manage swift resolution of any patient care related complaints with the support of other TOC operational leaders, depending on the nature and location of the complaint.

· Perform other responsibilities associated with position as deemed appropriate.

  • Understanding of principles and practices of healthcare administration, business operations, fiscal/budgetary management, human resources management, asset management, IT, regulatory compliance, customer service functions.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office products, EPM, EHR, and PAC's.
  • Exceptional independent, critical thinking skills and the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve operational issues.
  • Ability to evaluate and make recommendations for continuous quality improvements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of personalities and work styles, including the ability to prioritize, manage and complete simultaneous tasks with frequent interruptions, while paying close attention to the details. Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines and with a sense of urgency.
  • Must be able to proficiently speak, read and write in English.
  • High integrity; trustworthy; honest.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Required eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone. Calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eye sight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Requires the ability to work under stressful conditions and/or irregular hours to meet deadlines.

CREDENTIALS DESIRED

5+ years of clinical leadership experience, preferably in orthopedics. BSN (RN) or ASN (RN) preferred. ATC with 5+ years of clinical leadership experience may also be considered.

Position is located in Ocala, FL with regular travel to Gainesville, FL. Salary is commensurate with credential held and years of experience.
