The Used Vehicle Sales Consultant will serve as the newest addition to our sales team in servicing customers at our Used Vehicle Superstore. In this role, you’ll be responsible for guiding customers through the used car buying process, matching them with vehicles that meet their needs, and delivering a top-tier customer experience. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, a passion for automobiles, and a drive to meet and exceed sales goals.
Duties :
- Present current promotions, new inventory options, and financing alternatives.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our used vehicle inventory and pricing.
- Collaborate with the sales and service departments to ensure a smooth customer experience.
- Track interactions and follow up with potential leads.
- Determine each customer's vehicle needs and wants by asking questions and listening.
- Demonstrate vehicles including test drives.
- Report to the Sales Managers regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews and analytics.
- Maintain a prospect development system.
- Maintain an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business.
- Understand the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of technological changes in the products.
- Acquire and maintain total product knowledge; capability of communicating all features and benefits of all models; effectively sell all models, body styles, and engines as required by management.
- Obtain knowledge of competition’s features, benefits, and shortcomings.
- Effectively use demonstration rides to reinforce product features.
- Demonstrate professional personal behavior; treat all customers in an enthusiastic, courteous and helpful manner always striving for complete customer satisfaction.
- Dressing appropriately as defined by dealership policies and procedures refraining from smoking in presence of customers.
- Dealing honestly and accurately with both customers and management.
- Complete all paperwork in a timely manner as defined by dealership policy.
- Total compliance with dealership policy regarding customer follow-up, customer turnover, prospecting, schedule of hours, etc.
- Total understanding of the selling process and the dealership management procedure; demonstrate
- Ensure effective close of vehicle sale, lease, finance, etc. as defined by dealership policy.
- Valid US driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Previous experience working in automotive sales.
- Professional, well groomed personal appearance.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
- Positive, upbeat and outgoing personality.
