Sr Software Engineer - Autonomous Systems

Job Description and Responsibilities:
The Senior Software Engineer will ensure that our government customer achieves the desired 3rd party software infrastructure, capabilities, and accreditation process for the deployment of software at the speed of relevance. The Senior Software Engineer performing on this contract will possess the required skills, experience and accreditations at the appropriate clearance level and be responsible for executing collaborative autonomy and interoperability architecture and software to maximize the capabilities of uncrewed systems (UxS) to enhance command and control, communications, computing, cyber, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (C5ISR), and targeting.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Provide minimally supervised support for difficult analysis and evaluation assignments.
- Formulate/define specifications for full-stack complex operating software programming applications.
- Recommend modifications and maintain complex existing applications using engineering
releases and utilities. - Manage the designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents of those programs.
- Manages overall operating system, such as sophisticated file maintenance routines, large telecommunications networks, computer accounting, and advanced mathematical/scientific software packages in collaboration with the Hardware/Software providers.
- Assist in all phases of software systems programming applications.
- Evaluate new and existing software products.
- Review and prepare technical analysis reports and other documentation.
- Perform software delivery with demonstrated ability to integrate with commercial and open-source Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment and/or Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) platforms
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology or other related field of study.
- Relevant experience and years of service may be considered in lieu of required education
Required Experience:
- Minimum 5 years experience in analyzing software coding, debugging, software analysis, modeling, database and processes
- TS/SCI Clearance
- Ability to work as a member of a team with the skills and personality to lead discussions that results in positive desired outcomes
- Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Demonstrated experience in a DoD organization supporting critical mission objectives for software integration
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Preferred Experience:
- Mission Planning specific software, DoD Software Analysis Integration, and software integration into tactical systems
- Experience with managing software integration and coding/evaluation of various scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or PHP
- Understanding of software acquisition management support and documentation for fielding software and systems
Travel: 20-25% anticipated based on customer needs
