About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Project Manager to manage multiple small- to medium-sized residential and commercial projects while serving as the primary point of contact for clients.
This is a hands-on role that combines project management, client relationship management, and technical CAD expertise. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AutoCAD and/or Revit, understand construction documentation, and have the communication skills necessary to manage client relationships and support future business development.
You will lead a team of CAD Technicians to ensure projects and deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule while maintaining consistent communication with clients.
What You'll Do
• Manage all aspects of incoming projects, including client expectations and deliverable workflow
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and manage ongoing communication
• Lead a team of CAD Technicians producing complex architectural and engineering construction drawings for residential and commercial projects using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architecture, and Revit
• Lead the production of lot-specific and/or master plans in accordance with client-specific standards
• Coordinate third-party vendors and internal resources to keep projects moving forward
• Meet with clients in the field and professional office settings as needed
• Prepare, price, and follow up on project proposals while maintaining appropriate administrative records
• Monitor project status, timelines, and deliverables
• Address client concerns promptly and maintain strong client relationships
• Provide quality assurance, quality control, and code reviews
• Provide occasional CAD support as needed
• Keep upper management informed of project status and potential issues
• Mentor and develop junior team members and participate in professional development and evaluations
• Support future business development opportunities through strong client relationships
What We're Looking For
Required Skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction techniques and construction documents
• Knowledge of Florida building codes and CAD concepts
• Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control best practices
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams
• Customer service-oriented mindset
• Ability to effectively manage deadlines and multiple projects
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
Qualifications & Education
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or a related field, OR significant professional experience drafting residential and/or commercial construction documentation
• 5+ years of experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
• Experience managing client relationships and project deliverables
• Ability to lead and coordinate CAD Technicians and internal resources
