Armed Security Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Protect assigned personnel and property from harassment, vandalism, and other unauthorized or harmful actions.
• Maintain your weapon in proper working order and ensure it is secured at all times.
• Use your weapon only in extreme situations, after all non-violent options have been exhausted.
• Participate in refresher training for weapon use as required.
• Complete and submit detailed incident reports for all significant events.
• Ensure all security equipment and measures are functional and in excellent condition.
• Implement new security procedures when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, professional uniform and wear it at all times while on duty.

Requirements

• Valid Florida Class D Security License (required)
• Valid Florida Class G Security License (required)
• Valid Florida Driver’s License with reliable transportation
• Flexible availability , including overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with reporting systems
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required
• Smartphone required for reporting and communication
• Must provide own equipment
• Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism under pressure
