Fireman Derek’s Bakeshop is a rapidly expanding bakeshop with a fun working environment. We are known for making the best desserts in South Florida! We take pride in producing high-quality baked goods and it is our daily goal to put a smile on our customers' faces when they enjoy our delicious desserts.

We are looking for a Full-time baker. This is a Monday through Friday position. This position is for our commissary locations where you’ll be working in our wholesale kitchen, producing large batches of baked goods that are delivered to our retail stores and partners.

We’re excited to welcome a dependable and detail-oriented baker with :

• Foundational experience using commercial kitchen equipment.
• The ideal applicant can follow instructions accurately, manage assigned tasks independently after training, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to meet daily production needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform scratch baking using company recipes with consistency and accuracy.
• Measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients according to production standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation.
• Ensure all food-contact surfaces and equipment meet health and safety requirements.
• Operate and monitor ovens, mixers, and other baking equipment properly.
• Observe products during baking to maintain quality and consistency.
• Complete daily production lists while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
• Maintain inventory levels and report stock needs.
• Safely lift and handle items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Specific Requirements include:

• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).
• Must speak English.
• Work well with others, strong team work ethic.
• Punctual, reliable, respectful.

Compensation:

• Starting pay based on experience and performance within the first 90 days.
• 35-40 hours per week. Ranging from $16-$17 an hour depending on experience.

Fireman Derek’s Bakeshop is based out of Miami, FL with retail locations in iconic Wynwood, Coconut Grove, and Ft. Lauderdale.
