Test Technician

Description:

Performs testing, troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of electronic, electromechanical, and aircraft-related test systems using schematics, engineering drawings, and diagnostic equipment. Supports aerospace test operations by fabricating wiring assemblies, conducting system tests, and maintaining laboratory equipment and components.

#Education & Job Requirements
*Level 2: BS+4-8 YRS or MS+2-6 YRS

*Must be able to read electrical schematics
*Must have previous soldering experience
*Strong electronic and electrical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
*Experience with electronic and electrical fabrication
*Previous experience working in a laboratory or manufacturing environment
*Mechanical and general fabrication skills
*Hands-on experience working with, fabricating, and terminating military wiring harnesses and connectors

*Possess the ability to read/interpret blueprints, drawings, etc.
*Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

#Job Duties & Functions
*Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains electronic, electromechanical, and optical equipment and systems
*Performs wiring and cabling setup for aircraft test systems and associated support equipment
*Fabricates and terminates wiring harnesses and connectors used in aerospace applications
*Interprets schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions to complete testing and maintenance activities
*Operates electronic test equipment and records test data in prescribed formats
*Conducts calibration and alignment checks and performs required adjustments and modifications
*Executes replacement and repair of components and assemblies as directed
*Supports laboratory testing environments through equipment setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities
