Job Summary

A multi-specialty legal practice in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an Attorney with litigation experience to join its growing team on a direct hire basis. This opportunity is well suited for an associate-level attorney who is licensed in Florida and interested in handling meaningful litigation matters across areas such as insurance defense, business litigation, construction, workers' compensation, and real estate.

The Attorney will work in a professional, collaborative environment with exposure to diverse casework, experienced legal leadership, and opportunities to continue building litigation skills. This is a strong fit for a motivated legal professional who values teamwork, client service, case ownership, and long-term career development within a stable legal practice.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle litigation matters from initial case assessment through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and provide analysis related to assigned matters.
- Participate in hearings, depositions, mediations, negotiations, and case strategy discussions.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and internal legal team members.
- Manage deadlines, case files, documentation, and litigation activity with accuracy and professionalism.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage litigation matters across one or more practice areas, including insurance defense, business litigation, construction, workers' compensation, or real estate.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence.
- Conduct legal research and support case strategy development.
- Represent client interests in litigation-related proceedings and communications.

- Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar.
- Juris Doctor degree required.
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.
- Minimum of 2 years of attorney experience required.
- Litigation experience required.
- Associate-level attorneys are encouraged to be considered.
- Strong legal writing, research, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize casework, and work effectively in a professional legal team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in insurance defense, business litigation, construction litigation, workers' compensation, or real estate litigation.
- Prior experience in a multi-specialty law firm environment.
- Strong client service skills and the ability to contribute to a collaborative legal team.
