Big Jim Self Storage - Lakewood Ranch is interviewing for a Sales & Customer Service Associate. _________________________________________________________________________________________
If you enjoy direct interactions with customers ; enjoy multiple roles & responsibilities; possess solid computer skills; physical ability to perform routine customer & facility care tasks as needed; maintain a professional appearance; enjoy working inside as well as outside of office....... then this self-storage position might be perfect for you!
Previous experience in any of the following experiences easily transfer to this position:
* customer service & sales * self storage management * facility management * apartment leasing * retail sales * office / janitorial maintenance * appointment scheduling * hospitality front desk * office administration .
This position offers 3 set week days and plus 2 Saturday per month schedule:
- Monday or Friday: 9am - 5pm
- Tuesday: 9am - 5pm
- Thursday: 9am - 5pm
- Two Saturdays per month: 9am - 3pm.
Opportunities for additional hours are frequently available to accommodate other employees vacations and time off requests.
Training provide to qualified applicant, based on overall skills.
Self Storage experience is valued, but is not required.

About Us: Big Jim Self Storage is a locally owned and managed self-storage company located in Lakewood Ranch, FL, which opened in September 2018.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Desire & ability to be shift between a variety of customer & property care roles.
- Maintain professional verbal & written communications skills.
- Project professional appearance and vocabulary at all time.
- Possess proven computer & office equipment skills.
- Promptly respond to all customer inquiries and online reservation requests.
- Achieve business goals by consistently convert inquiries to rental customers
- Assess customers' needs & make rental recommendations that best meet them.
- Work with customers to assure prompt payments are maintained.
- Strive daily to exceed customer expectations and meet monthly goals.
- Prompt & accurate cash handling; bank deposits & Daily Closing reports.
- Conduct daily storage unit / lock inspections to identify vacant units.
- Promptly clean & maintain vacant units to assure immediate rental availability.
- Ability to inspect, clean & maintain air handlers & irrigation filter systems.
- Help maintain & assure facility bathrooms & other high-traffic/high- touch areas remain replenished/clean/sanitized.
- Physical ability for frequent walking; sitting; neck mobility & arm reaching; bending; pulling; squatting; and occasional lifting up to 35 lbs. Ability to work indoor our outside.
- Ability to read, write, listen and consistently follow directions & policies given.

Office Hours: M-F 9am - 5:00pm. / Sat: 9am - 3pm. / Sun: Closed.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28 - 30 per week
