Pastor
First Baptist Church of DeLeon Springs is searching for the man God has chosen to be our next Pastor. The Pastor must meet the criteria laid out in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-4 as well as be a Southern Baptist pastor who is in agreement with the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message. Pastoral experience and pastoral education are preferred. The Pastor should be submissive to God’s leadership with all decisions based on Godly concerns and Biblical doctrines. Sharing God’s plan of salvation and teaching God’s principles for the purpose of growing and maturing the believers should be a priority. He should shepherd the congregation into a deeper, stronger, intimate relationship with Jesus resulting in uncompromising men and women of faith who are equipped to go into a lost, hostile world to fulfill the Great Commission. FBCDS is dedicated to proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ, uncompromising in Biblical standards, being set apart from the world, fostering spiritual growth, and reaching our community and the surrounding communities for the glory of God. FBCDS has the desire to grow and we seek a pastor who has the same desire. Insofar as is practical, FBCDS cooperates with and supports the East Central Baptist Network and the Southern Baptist Convention. DeLeon Springs, FL is in Volusia County, one hour northeast of Orlando and just 30 minutes southwest of Daytona Beach. FBCDS is a conservative Southern Baptist church established in 1921 with some families being descendants of the original congregation members. The membership is multigenerational and desires a pastor who can minister to and be sensitive of the needs of each generation. Average weekly Sunday attendance is 60 people. FBCDS offers Sunday School for all ages, Sunday morning worship service, Children’s Church, and Wednesday night Bible study and prayer meeting. Resumes may be submitted to [email protected]
