Overview

The Maintenance Technician position will require electrical trouble shooting skills as well as an experienced mechanical are seeking qualified candidates with five years experience in packaging and equipment maintenance with an emphasis on electrical installation PLC knowledge preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for but isnot limited to machine installation control wiring installations and troubleshooting to the component level PLC understanding and troubleshooting skills (not programming) anchoring equipment running conduit pulling wire termination of conductors maintenance and rebuilding of equipment conveyor systems robotics and other routine maintenance duties.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

• High school diploma required
• 5 years experience in packaging and equipment maintenance with an emphasis on electrical installation and experience with preventive maintenance repair and troubleshooting in the following areas: conveyors robotics over wrappers palletizers shrink wrappers casers air compressors and boilers required
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting automated conveyor equipment preferred
• Certifications in basic electrical mechanical motor control relay logic and schematic reading preferred
• Experience operating boom and scissor lifts required

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Must be able to use basic electrical test instruments to include VOM multi-meter clamp on ampere meter and other basic test instruments
• Ability to troubleshoot sensors photo eyes as well as how they relate to the PLC operation
• Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic cylinders and MAC valves
• Ability to maintain and operate boilers and steam tunnels
