Job Summary
As a Sales Support representative with Oldcastle, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your talents and passion in a constantly evolving construction industry. We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and driven individual to join our FL sales team as a Sales Support Rep. Innovative products and customer service are the foundation of our company and this position will support our market-leading masonry products in the constantly evolving and growing construction industry.
While this job will be under the direction of sales the scope of the job will cross all identified regions, as the candidate will communicate with several functions including but not limited to sales, marketing, designers, manufacturing, finance, and customer services. The range of customer contacts includes professional specifiers, design build contractors, masonry contractors, contract manufacturers, trades, technical professionals, sales and senior managers from various companies and organizations.
Job Location
This is an onsite position, and this person will report into our Longwood, FL office.
Job Responsibilities
To work with the reps from various locations and segments and to gain knowledge of the different products, and customer base segments that FL operates in. To assist the sales staff with needs such as take-offs, making and delivering sample boards, and assisting the sales department. Specifically, your responsibilities will include:
- Work with the management team to gain insight into how the different segments of our business operate
- Learn the different products we manufacture and sell
- Understand the customer base and sales cycles of these different divisions
- Work with inner office software such as SalesForce.com and understand how they are used
- Identify upcoming projects and awarded jobs via communication with architects, developers, and contractors. Make inquiries on building permits, create “red dirt” reports, and cold call for potential opportunities within different segments of our business
- Keep organized notes using Salesforce.com, tracking calls and updates on progression of sales efforts
- Prospect for new customers
- Assist in reading plans/specs for jobs and identifying what products are needed
- Help maintain CRM (Salesforce) for multiple sales teams
- Research bidding & planning jobs by reading plans and specifications
- Assist in reading plans/specs for jobs and identifying what products are needed
- Responding to questions and requests from customers
- Manage product sample inventory and order samples from multiple vendors as necessary
- Participate in sales meetings to take notes and summarize findings
- Duties, responsibilities, and other tasks deemed necessary by management.
Job Requirements
- Technical proficiency with laptops, web-based software, smart phones
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Self-starter with excellent time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team player that collaborates well with others
- Able to calculate basic business math functions such as margin, % increase/decrease, sales vs. budget, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM software
- Construction and/or product manufacturer background is preferred
- Customer relations experience
- Experience reading construction documents (plans and specifications)
- Must have a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs
