Summary

The Afterhours Logistics Coordinator will work as the key point of contact for cross-functional teams, including sales representatives, drivers, warehouse team and operations leadership on all delivery-related issues. Will also assist Logistics Manager in developing the logistics department and refining warehouse and shipping operations.

Schedule as Follows

• Monday: Off.
• Tuesday: 3pm-12am.
• Wednesday: 3pm-12am.
• Thursday: 3pm-12am.
• Friday: 3pm-12am.
• Saturday: 9am-6pm.
• Sunday: Off.

Responsibilities

• Serve as key point of contact for cross-functional teams, including sales representatives, drivers, warehouse team and operations leadership on all delivery-related issues.
• Handle day-to-day logistics coordination.
• Develop an expansive and diversified mix of trucking companies and 3PL to utilize.
• Primary contact point for trucking companies.
• Assist in tracking loads and report if any unusual events occur.
• Assist in development of a distribution center database, then maintain.
• Assist in solving time-sensitive issues and present solutions.
• Assist Logistics Supervisor with special projects.

Qualifications and Skills

• Transportation and/or supply chain experience preferred.
• Strong Analytical Skills; ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
• Must possess advanced Excel skills.
• Strong IT Skills.
• Experience in the Perishables Industry is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work responsibly with or without direct supervision.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others.
• Ability to multi-task effectively during busy times, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations.
• Must be accessible outside regular hours in solve urgent logistical problems.
• Willing to travel nationally and internationally.

Education

• High School Diploma (required).
• Bachelor Degree preferred; a combination of education and/or experience in lieu of degree.
