We are looking for a meticulous and dependable Accounting Clerk to join our client's team in West Palm Beach. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the accounting department through tasks such as billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial data entry. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured and detail-oriented environment, with opportunities for long-term growth.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare, verify, and distribute client invoices, ensuring all required supporting documentation is included.
• Process accounts payable and overhead invoices with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Review and post incoming payments to the correct accounts, ensuring proper cash allocation.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable balances to maintain timely collections.
• Perform accurate and consistent data entry into both internal and external accounting systems.
• Assist with reviewing client contracts to facilitate proper project setup and compliance.
• Maintain well-organized electronic records of contracts and other accounting-related documents.
• Provide general administrative and accounting support to the team as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth execution of accounting processes.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is encouraged.• At least one year of experience in administrative or accounting support roles is preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.
• Ability to efficiently handle repetitive tasks while maintaining consistency.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Familiarity with Deltek software is a plus.
• Strong ability to work in a structured, process-driven environment.
