Water Control Helper

Florida Crystals is a leading domestic sugar producer and North America’s first fully integrated cane sugar company, guiding our sugar from farm to table. OVERVIEW

Sugar Farms Co-Op is searching for Water Control Helper. An Agriculture Shop Water Control Helper is responsible for assisting in the management and control of water resources in an agricultural setting. This role involves supporting the implementation of water management strategies, maintaining irrigation systems, and ensuring efficient water usage to maximize crop yields and sustainability.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Pass a background check
• Must be able to pass a physical and drug screening

• Water Management: Assist in monitoring and managing water usage to ensure optimal irrigation practices. Help implement water conservation measures and strategies.
• Irrigation System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on irrigation systems, including drip, sprinkler, and flood irrigation systems. Ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
• Water Quality Control: Support the testing and monitoring of water quality to ensure it meets the necessary standards for agricultural use. Assist in the treatment of water if needed.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of water usage, system maintenance, and any issues encountered. Help in preparing reports on water management activities.
• Field Support: Provide support to field workers in setting up and operating irrigation systems. Assist in troubleshooting any issues that arise during irrigation.
• Compliance: Ensure all water management practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Stay updated on any changes in water usage policies and guidelines.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma preferred but not required
• Possess a valid driver's license
