Job Summary:

Provides administrative and clerical support to include but is not limited to: preparing written correspondence, answering phones, managing files and mail distribution. Maintains department website, analyze data and prepare reports and documents. Creates and distributes weekly newsletters and church bulletin, prepare and edit communications and presentations, and coordinate projects as needed.


Skills, Education, and Experience Required:

  • Two or more years applicable office experience in similar job duties preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advance computer skills: (Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook), organized and attentive to detail, self-directed and motivated.
  • Must possess the ability to interact and communicate with persons of diverse backgrounds and work well under pressure. Absolute confidentiality required.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Create Reports, Prepare Statements for Review, Take Minutes, Create Weekly Newsletter with Photoshop. Schedule events and Coordinate meetings.
  • Greet and assist visitors in a positive and gracious manner.
  • Daily pick up and distribute mail.
  • Gather information for weekly church bulletin.
  • Forward copy of church bulletin to web master.
  • Send church bulletin to shuts-in weekly.
  • Assist worship coordinator sending weekly reminders to participants.
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, minutes or reports accurately and timely.
